New for 2012, the ultra-compact single cell E1B flashlight.

After introducing our angler’s flashlight, manufactured in conjunction with SureFire, we had numerous requests for something “just as good, just as bright, just as bullet proof, but a maybe a little smaller.”

Voila! The E1B features a virtually indestructible power-regulated LED emitter and a precision Total Internal Reflection lens. The tailcap switch lets you activate the flashlight and select either the 110 or 5 lumen output level.

Available in blueIII, olive and red solid colors ($225) or in brown trout fish graphic ($275).

Our larger dual cell LX2 flashlight has a beam bright enough to light a rocky streamside mountain trail and sturdy enough to last a lifetime is now available from fly reel manufacturer Abel. The American-made and fully machined aerospace aluminum angler's light is produced under contract with SureFire, Fountain Valley, Calif.

The AbeLight LX2 by SureFire is available in four finishes: matte green, matte brown, brown trout and dorado.

The "marriage" of Abel and SureFire was natural: both companies are noted for precision machine work and uncompromising quality. Founded in 1979 - about the same time as Abel - their ever-expanding family of high intensity handheld lights has made SureFire synonymous with the best illumination tools the world has to offer.
