DESIGNER BELT BUCKLE
NEXT ON TAP FOR ABEL

CAMARILLO, Calif. – Fully-machined men’s and women’s aluminum or stainless steel belt buckles accompanied by premium leather belts are now available from precision machine shop Abel. The belt and buckle are designed for casual wear, jeans, slacks and corduroy trousers, said Don Swanson, president of the fishing tackle manufacturer.

Carved from 303 stainless steel or 6061 aircraft quality aluminum and precision anodized by Abel, the buckles feature representative fish graphics and an Abel logo in bas relief.

Weighing 1.375 ounces in aluminum or 3.750 ounces in stainless, the 1.8- x 3-inch buckle accommodates a 1-1/2 inch American leather belt. Belt sizes correspond to trouser sizes.

The buckles are produced utilizing a product design from Bettinardi Golf, a Midwest machine shop recognized for their innovative clubs and golf-related products.

Beginning as a solid piece of high-grade metal, the buckle goes through milling process on CNC computer-driven milling machines. Machinists and technicians handle each buckle through the entire production process, similar to Abel’s reels, knives, pliers and other fishing tools.

The lightweight, virtually indestructible logo belt buckle, is “built for a lifetime of good looks and service,” said Swanson.
