FlexABELity = System designed to interchange both Large and Standard Arbor spools into the identical frame. Every frame in the Super Series, Anti-Reverse Series and Abel Creek Series now accepts both Large and Standard Arbor spools.
FlexABELity sets may be purchased at significant savings compared to the same reel and spool purchased separately.

So many finish options to choose from...
|
Finish options are available for the Frame, Spool, Drag Knob, Drag Plate and Foot. You have many finishes to choose from, including: High Gloss Black, Matte Black, Solid Color, Artistic Graphic or Fish Graphic. High Gloss and Matte Black come standard, and free of charge.

HANDLES

Aluminum - Rosewood - Walnut - Zebra - Ebony
|
Aluminum handles have a slip-resistant knurled finger grip and are fitted with a hand-pressed Delrin® insert for smooth cranking. Their weight precisely matches the weight of the counterbalance. They won't chop, fracture, splinter or snap no matter what the temperature or conditions. Available in all finishes.
Laminated wood handles are highly engineered wood composite known as DymondWood™ made for us in Rutland, VT. Handles have the physical and mechanical properties of high-density hardwoods, acrylics, polycarbonate plastics and brass with compression strength of 25,600 psi. Available in Rosewood, Walnut, Zebra or Ebony.

The Abel Arm™
|
A high percentage of our reels are now ordered with an Abel Arm™. By hanging the reel below and slightly forward of the casting hand and moving the center of gravity away from the reel seat, the improved balance offers greater comfort and significantly less fatigue. If you suffer from tennis elbow (tendonitis) or arthritis, you will feel the difference when you use the arm.
Abel Arms may be fitted to any model and size Abel Reel.
